Before anyone can add an event (or any other content) they'll need to authenticate on the site. This is an unavoidable requirement these days thanks to the idiots who spam every place they can enter data.
Events
Every event needs a certain minimum amount of information. Presently this is considered to be
- city
- address
- lat/long (?) (to allow plotting easily on mapping services)
- date / time of meeting
- expected duration
- anticipated subjects
- organiser
Attendees
While saying you'll attend isn't a cast iron guarantee, it does mean that whomever is organising the walk can guage likely interest.
